Essential Educational Qualifications: No person shall be eligible to be appointed a Civil Judge (Junior Division) unless he holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a University established by the law and approved/recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Age : 21-40 years as on 20/07/2011.
Note-Two (02) posts (one from General Category and one from Backward Classes Category)
have been kept reserved in view of the order dated 05.02.2009 passed by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in CWP o. 3584 of 2008 titled as eha Yadav Vs. Punjab and Haryana High Court. Four (04) posts from General Category have been kept reserved in compliance with the orders dated 5.02.2009 passed by Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in CWP No. 20315/2008.
Competitive Examination: The selection of suitable candidates for appointment in HCS (Judicial Branch) will be made by holding an examination. The examination shall be conducted in three stages namely.
(i) Preliminary Examination,
(ii) Main Examination,
(iii) Viva-Voce.
